The top ranking Communist Terrorists’ David Soriano aka ROSA, Secretary of the Northern Front, KR-Hilagang Silangan Luzon and the recovered war materiels, cash and other subversive documents from his possession last 04 May 2017.
Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz, Gamu, Isabela – Two (2) Communist Terrorists to include a high ranking member operating in the Province of Cagayan were arrested in a joint check point operation conducted by 17th Infantry Battalion and Penablanca Municipal Police Office at the National Road of Brgy Camasi, Penablanca, Cagayan around 5 o’clock in the afternoon yesterday, 4 May 2017.
The top ranking Communist Terrorist was identified as David Soriano aka ROSA, Secretary of the Northern Front, KR-Hilagang Silangang Luzon, operating in Cagayan Province, while his companion was identified as Jude Cipriano. The duo were brought to Penablanca Police Station for safekeeping, while appropriate legal actions are being prepared against them.
Recovered from their possession were one (1) glock pistol, and another one (1) 9mm pistol, Php 100,000.00 pesos cash, US$ 1,888.00 dollars cash, eleven (11) pieces assorted cellphones, one (1) rifle grenade, and one (1) wallet containing several identification cards.
According to LTC Rembert R Baylosis, Commander of the 17IB, his troops together with the PNP personnel of Penablanca Municipal Police Office (MPO) were conducting check point in support to Law Enforcement Operations when the duo were arrested.
Meanwhile, MGen Paul Talay Atal, D.P.A AFP, Commander, 5ID lauded the operating troops for their vigilance. “The apprehension of David Soriano through the information given by stakeholders is an indication that they are not invincible to the eye of the public who suffered the most with the Communist Terrorist atrocities. This is a manifestation that the People of Cagayan are already exhausted with the evil activities of the communist terrorist in their area.” MGen Atal said.
Mr Soriano is wanted under the virtue of the following warrant of arrest: CC II 12846 and 10854 for Murder (no bail); CC II 12847 for Violation of RA 6539; and, CC II 12856 for robbery. #End
