CAMP MELCHOR F DELA CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela – The 5th Infantry (Star) Division together with the Police Regional Office 2, conducted a send-off ceremony to the two classes of the Philippine National Police – Special Action Force Commando Course (SAFCC) at 5ID Battalion Retraining Facility, Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela on October 23, 2018.
The send-off ceremony was participated by MGen Perfecto M Rimando Jr, Commander, 5ID; Chief Superintendent Jose Mario M. Espino, Regional Director, PRO2; BGen Bartolome Vicente R Baccaro Jr, Commander, 502IBde; and Police Senior Superintendent Mariano Rodiguez, Provincial Director, Isabela Police Provincial Office.
According to P/CSupt Espino, the SAFCC Classes 79 and 80 undertook their test mission in the province of Isabela to support the campaign of the local police and the soldiers against the Communist NPA Terrorists in the region. “The two classes will be returning back to the SAF Training School for their graduation after their successful test mission in the area of Isabela.” P/CSupt Espino said.
MGen Rimando Jr, commended the SAFCC students for their firm determination to finish their course, and for their support to the campaign against the Communist NPA Terrorists. At the same, he also praised them for the professionalism they have displayed while on a test mission within 5ID area of operation.
“We commend your group for sharing your time, sweat and effort to secure the people of Isabela against the menace of the Communist-Terrorists Groups. My best regards to your group and to your Officers. The PNP and the Army will always be comrades in protecting the rights of every Filipino, we need to work hand in hand, in order for us not to fail our people.” MGen Rimando Jr, said.
